One of my clients recently passed on this short but great tip and I thought I would share it with you.
If you have ever played golf you may recall that a key strategy before you play your stroke is to visualise the backswing, downswing, the club face hitting the ball perfectly with the sweet spot sound before the ball is flying its way towards the pin. Once your goal has been visualised it is a long way toward being realised.
When walking into a sales situation my client suggested that when placing your hand on the door to the company's office, boardroom or suite you visualise yourself LEAVING with a successful sale under your belt! This is a great way to set you up for success. As soon as your hand touches a door or you walk into a lobby, use the experience in the moment to create a clear image in your mind's eye of you grinning on your way out having achieved your objective!
