Q. What about spam?

A. We classify anything where they are trying to sell you something, be it a pharmaceutical product from Canada, a lifetime with a beautiful but lonely Russian lady, or the chance to purchase a penny stock in the US that is about to explode in value, to be spam. Yes, various filters and so on are in place, but spam still gets through and we will deal with it.

Spam does not count toward your monthly quota of emails as long as you co-operate in ensuring reasonably effective filters are employed. If you need us to assist you in putting filters in place we would be happy to talk to you.

Q. What about all those enquiries from Mickey Mouse?

A. We deal with lots of emails from ficticious characters. Where it is an obvious character (Donald Duck is quite popular for some reason - although Mickey Mouse is the clear favourite) we will count it as spam and move on. If we get sucked in and try to call whoever it is, it is counted as one of your monthly quota of emails. 

Q. What about wrong phone numbers?

A. Lots of people supply wrong phone numbers purely by making a typing error. Others do it for other reason. If we feel it is genuine human error we will attempt to reach them via return email.

Q. What if I don't want to ring them all up - or the customer requests to be contacted only by email?

A. We will talk to you about this... and we will follow the instructions given by you in the briefing session.

One piece of advice... if a prospect is only prepared to reveal a Google, Hotmail, Yahoo! or similar email address - then you need to push back a little bit before you send them a price list and the keys to the front door.
